Illustrations for User Insights
Tinker Labs approached to make illustrations based on their research on financial habits of people from Bihar and Kerala in 2021.
Then ensued an interesting project during the COVID-era ensued and here's the process.
Divided into two, this set had an analogous color scheme matching the brand's associated color of sunny yellow with red-orange for the Bihar insights and green for Kerala insights.
While designing characters for this set, I considered the day-to-day of the users. The goal was to help the bank workers grasp the habits, goals and thinking of the people of Bihar and Kerala using simple, easy-to-understand visuals based on the insights.
Insight from the team: In the gulf region, migrant workers from Kerala earn more money which allows them to save enough to send home. They aren't cutting any corners compared to their home country.
Insight: Homemakers store away small amounts as a way to collect contingency fund for times of need
With various schemes like Jeevika and Kudumbashree in place, I was introduced to the saving strategies of home-makers.
Used across a bank communications for simplified understanding of everyday financial behaviours across Bihar & Kerala. Made with Tanvi and Cheyush from the team as an individual freelance project.
